You can find the Green Faerie and all of her Fae friends at booth #502 at TRF this season. We are right beside the dragon swing and a direct sight line to the joust.
We are also happy to hold your purchases until the end of the day so you can keep your hands free. 😁
What that means for you is ample space to social distance, while perusing my entire line of Ointments, Teas, scrubs, herbs, and of course Absinthe.
I sell Custom European Absinthe in a Make-it-yourself kit.
My kits come in Nine separate choices of flavor, and you can use any alcohol (including wine) that is at least 14%ABV. You just add the alcohol of your choice and allow the herbs to steep for a minimum of 14 days. The longer the absinthe steeps, the better it gets. 😉
As the days shorten I find myself reaching for mulling spices to prepare for yule and the return of the sun. With the Spiced Orange Absinthe Kit you can have your Spiced wine (14%ABV or higher) or rum, or mead or what have you, and it will be absinthe at the same time.
Go ahead and serve it hot.
Pour the herb kit into the tea bag that it comes with.
Put it in your crock pot.
Put in a couple of cups of sugar (sugar depends on the alcohol you use and how sweet you like your absinthe. )
Add 2 separate 750 ml bottles of wine or 1 bottle of hard alcohol- make sure there is enough liquid to cover the herbs. May require more alcohol.
Slice up a couple of oranges or other citrus fruit and add while your spiced mulled absinthe is cooking (*optional)
Heat on Low or Warm for 4 hours. Do not boil.
Serve warm. If necessary sweeten the drinks individually.
Leftovers can be chilled and put in a mason jar with the herb sachet. As long as the herbs are in contact with the liquid the absinthe will continue to get more potent, the flavour will get more complex, and the drink overall will taste better.
